Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University (DIU), recently led a university delegation on a courtesy visit to the Hon'ble President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and Chancellor of DIU, H.E. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, at Bangabhaban.

During the meeting, the President emphasised the importance of public and private universities producing skilled, industry-ready graduates capable of meeting Bangladesh's evolving workforce requirements. He highlighted the need for higher education institutions to align academic programmes with national development priorities.

Dr. Khan briefed the President on DIU's academic initiatives, including its Patent Development Department, which supports researchers in securing patent rights and commercialising innovations. He also shared the university's continued focus on career-oriented education, research, and industry-relevant disciplines that prepare graduates for the changing world of work.

The President expressed his appreciation for DIU's progress and encouraged the university to continue maintaining excellence in higher education. During the visit, Dr. Khan also formally invited the President to attend DIU's upcoming Convocation.
